I have found some player that labelled as “wonderkid” on FM 2008, it may different for any loaded game but i think the player ability is amazing. Here the list :

Why no one didn’t choose Pablo Piatti (AMC) , just 650K but amazing?
80% of his goals came from long shoot from second line..he was my #1 for AMC, although i had fernando belluschi (bought 19M), mattias fernandez(bought 19M), kevin boateng, jermain jenas at Palermo..just put him between 2 striker as hole forward..
His weakness just in stamina..

Asking about star’s potential or currently as report from our scout, is it means we just buy the players whom have stare less than 4 stars?
Because likes Jesus Navas has 5 stars however the performances worse than Fernando Belluschi, Henry Saviet, Wesley Sneijder which is have 4 stars.
i think, stars from our scouts is shown for player reputation in his current club and how potential his ability
Remember this, in some condition, good player with amazing ability is not good enough with new club
